Taste the Atlantic – The Salmon Experience

Taste the Atlantic Visitor Centre is a fully interactive space where the story of Irish salmon is told, from its place in Irish mythology and history right up to the role salmon aquaculture plays in sustaining coastal communities in some of Ireland’s most remote rural locations.

Follow the iconic King of Fish through history; watch the story of the Salmon of Knowledge unfold before your eyes, and unlock knowledge through the different interactive displays and enjoy  solving jigsaw and quiz questions. Suitable for school children and grown-ups alike.

We will also explain our unique smoking process and techniques from start to finish, showing you our custom-designed kiln and smoke box, which is an integral part to our award-winning smoked Salmon products. Through learning about our carefully selected local ingredients and how we use them in each part of the process, you will experience how they contribute to our unique taste which you will enjoy when sampling the Burren Smoked Irish Organic Salmon included in the experience.
